Uno de los sitios arqueológicos escondidos que tiene Quintana Roo es el templo del Alacrán en Cancún, una construcción de la antigua civilización Maya.
Construido sobre un acantilado, que da con una magnifica vista al Mar Caribe, el Templo del Alacrán en Cancún o también conocido como Yamil Luum, es uno de los tantos sitios arqueológicos que guarda el estado de Quintana Roo. Sin embargo se encuentra escondido por un hotel y poca gente lo sabe.
La Península de Yucatán y otros estados del sureste fueron el hogar de la antigua civilización Maya, por ello que en varias zonas existan diferentes lugares sagrados, sin embargo los estados de Yucatán y Quintana Roo guardan los lugares más reconocidos por los turistas y viajeros
¿Cómo llegar al Templo del Alacrán en Cancún?
Lo curioso de este sitio es que el Templo Maya se encuentra rodeado de hoteles, pertenecientes a la Zona Hotelera, y por ende para poder llegar a él, es necesario un pequeño recorrido de unos 400 metros por la playa.
Está ubicado a la altura del Km 12.5 de la zona hotelera, por lo que debes entrar a Playa Marlín, que se encuentra en el Km 13 y caminar a mano izquierda aproximadamente 800 metros con rumbo al hotel Royal Park, desde donde se podrá apreciar a distancia el lugar, posteriormente a ello, deberás subir las escaleras de piedra del hotel (siempre respetando las instalaciones del mismo y a las personas que se encuentren allí) y seguir una camino que te guiará hasta el templo.
La Ruina Maya es propiedad federal, así que se puede entrar libremente y disfrutar de una vista hermosa al mar azul de Cancún.

How to get to the Temple of the Scorpion in Cancun?
The curious thing about this site is that the Mayan Temple is surrounded by hotels, belonging to the Hotel Zone, and therefore in order to reach it, a short journey of about 400 meters along the beach is necessary.
It is located at km 12.5 of the hotel zone, so you must enter Playa Marlín, which is located at km 13 and walk to the left for approximately 800 meters towards the Royal Park hotel, from where you can see distance from the place, after that, you must go up the stone stairs of the hotel (always respecting its facilities and the people who are there) and follow a path that will guide you to the temple.
The Mayan Ruin is federal property, so you can enter freely and enjoy a beautiful view of the blue sea of Cancun.
